Born in Cape Town, South Africa in 1955 Gillian began her working life training as an Architectural Designer. After a number of successful years in Architecture she felt the urge to see if she could create her own business and founded a Technical Publications Company called Comtech (Pty) Ltd. For five years things progressed well and she grew the company to thirteen employees. At this point she was unfortunately taken very seriously ill and decided to transfer her business into other hands. When she recovered, Gillian returned to Architecture and for many years afterwards ran her own Architectural Company. In 2002, she decided that she wanted a fresh focus to her life, and determined to concentrate her time and efforts on her two real loves, Breeding and Showing Bloodhounds, and Sculpting.
In 2005 she met her current partner and moved to the UK, the home of her grandparents. She now lives and works in a cottage just outside Rugby, Warwickshire, with her daughter Skye, and, of course, her beloved hounds!
