Gillian was born in Cape Town, South Africa then moved and grew
up just outside Johannesburg. She began her working life
training as an Architectural Designer. Her after work hours were
spent mostly with all her Bloodhounds. She started the South
African Bloodhound Club 28 years ago and is now actively
involved with the Bloodhound breed in the UK.
After a number of years in Architecture
and Engineering she felt the urge to see if she could create her own business and founded a Technical Publications Company called Comtech
(Pty) Ltd. After five successful years, Gillian sold the
business in search of a quieter life where she could work from
home and spend more time with her beloved bloodhounds.
Gillian rekindled her love for Architecture and for many years afterwards ran her own Architectural Company
from home.
In 2005 Gillian moved to the UK, the
original home of her mother. She now lives and works in a
cottage in Warwickshire.
Between her exotic plant
nursery, novel writing and beloved hounds Gillian also manages
to fit in another of her passions, sculpting in clay. A
number of these sculptures can be browsed on this site. All free
standing sculptures bear 'the work of Lamb' marque, the
black and white logo displayed on the banner above.
